For more architecture and history, Vlaekensgang, the hidden street, is a can’t miss stop in the city. This street, which is only accessible through old medieval doors, is filled with lovely homes, informal restaurants, and shops.

For more adventure into the art that threads through the city, museums and galleries are the way to go. The Plantin Moretus Museum is one of the finest printing museums in the world and takes visitors on a journey through the art of bookmaking. Among others is the Museum aan de Stroom which tells the story of Antwerp in the world and Extra City Kunsthal which is a space created for contemporary visual arts that host experimental shows.
